QRScanner.net ("we," "our," or "us"), owned and operated by Softrix Technologies, provides a collection of online QR code tools and services, including tools for scanning QR codes, generating QR codes, scanning WiFi QR codes, generating WiFi QR codes, and creating vCard QR codes (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you access or use our website and Services. By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of our Services.

  • Uploaded Images and Files: When you use our image processing Services, you may upload images or documents. These files are processed automatically to provide the requested output. 
  • Contact Information: If you contact us using our contact-us or survey forms, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message/survey answers.
  • Account Information: When you create an account on QRScanner.net, we collect personal information such as your email address, username, and login credentials. This information is used to create and manage your account, authenticate access, provide account-based features, and communicate with you regarding your account.
  • Facebook and Google Account information: If users choose to register with Facebook or Google accounts, then we will access information associated with those accounts that is shared with us according to Google and Meta policies. 

We do not require account creation to use most Services. If you create an account, you are responsible for ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date. 

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government-issued identifiers or payment card details unless explicitly stated at the point of collection.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you access the Services, we may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Operating system

  • Referring and exit URLs
  • Pages viewed, interaction data, and timestamps

3. Uploaded Content and File Handling

  • Uploaded files are used only to perform the requested image processing operation.
  • Files are processed automatically and are not manually reviewed, except in cases of copyright infringement or legal matters.
  • Uploaded files and generated outputs are temporarily stored and are deleted automatically after processing or within a short retention period (5 Minutes), unless longer storage is required for technical or legal reasons.
  • We do not claim ownership of any files you upload. 

Do note that once files are deleted, they cannot be recovered.

All file transfers (content uploads and downloads) are protected by industry‑standard encryption (e.g., SSL/TLS).

4. Copyrighted And Pirated Content

We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. Users are solely responsible for ensuring they do not upload content that infringes upon copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights.

By uploading content, users warrant that they own the content or have obtained all the necessary rights and permissions required to use it.

In accordance with our privacy policy, we do not actively screen or monitor the uploaded content during automatic processing. However, we reserve the right to remove, restrict access, or refuse to process content that we reasonably believe: 

  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Contains pirated or unlawfully distributed material
  • Violates applicable laws or regulations

If we receive a valid complaint related to intellectual property rights, we may remove the materials and, where appropriate, suspend or terminate repeat infringers.

  • Submit a correction request via our contact form
  • Submit a deletion request through our designated data deletion form

We may verify your identity before processing such requests. Requests will be handled within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable laws.

11. How To Delete Your Data

Users have the right to request the deletion of their personal data collected by QRScanner.net. 

How to Request Data Deletion:

  • Go to our data deletion request form: (https://qrscanner.net/contact-us).
  • Enter the relevant information in the form. Make sure it is accurate and that there are no mistakes.
  • Once you have made sure the form is correctly filled out, submit it. 

After submission, we will review your request. The request will be processed within 7-30 days according to our data retention policies, at the end of which all requested data will be deleted.

12. Payment Information

If you subscribe to any paid Services, we may collect information necessary to process your payment. This includes:

  • subscription status, 
  • transaction identifiers, 
  • billing-related metadata. 

We do not collect or store full payment card numbers or sensitive financial information on our servers.

13. Third-Party Payment Processors

Payments are processed through trusted third-party payment processors. These processors handle your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies and security standards. 

We only receive limited information necessary to confirm payment status, manage subscriptions, and provide customer support.

14. Account Cancellation, Subscription Termination, and Account Closing Due to Violation

You may cancel your account or terminate a subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. 

Upon cancellation, your account access will be disabled, and associated personal data will be handled in accordance with our data retention and deletion policies. 

Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

If your account is closed due to a terms and conditions violation, then your data will be retained by QRScanner.net according to its data retention policy. To delete that data, follow the instructions in section 8.

15. Billing & Transaction Emails

Users with paid accounts may receive transactional emails related to billing, payments, renewals, refunds, and subscription status. 

These communications are considered essential service messages and cannot be opted out of while an active subscription exists.

16. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to user rights or personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

Notifications will be made without undue delay and will include information about the nature of the breach and recommended protective steps, where appropriate.

17. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we become aware that a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, we will promptly delete the information and may disable associated accounts.

QRScanner.net is not responsible for these third-party platforms and their policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any Third Party Services you access.

When necessary, we may contact users via their email address, live chat (on our website), or other means. 

The reasons for contact may be as follows:

  • Notifying of changes in the privacy policy, refund policy, and the terms and conditions.

  • Payment reminders (if you are subscribed to the premium package)
