1. Who we are
QRScanner.net (also referred to as "QRScanner", "we", "us", "our" from here on out) is a service operated by Softrix Technologies.
This document is going to highlight the terms and conditions you (the user) have to agree to before using our service.

2. Agreement to these terms
These Terms govern your access to and use of qrscanner.net and any tool, feature or subscription offered on it (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. The Service
QRScanner is a browser-based tool for reading and creating QR codes and barcodes. Parts of the Service are free to use without an account. Other parts are available on a paid subscription ("Pro"), described on our Pricing page. We may add, change, or withdraw features, and we will give reasonable notice before removing a feature that is provided in a paid subscription.
4. Accounts
A Pro subscription requires an account. You must give accurate registration details, keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Accounts are for a single user and may not be shared or resold.
You must also be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to create an account. Otherwise, you should not use the Service.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to create, distribute or decode codes that lead to malware, phishing pages, fraudulent payment requests or other unlawful content; to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy; to send unsolicited bulk messages; to circumvent our usage limits, rate limits or paid features; to scrape, resell or redistribute the Service or its output as a competing product; or to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or to interfere with their operation.
We may suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe breaches this clause. Where a paid subscription is terminated for a breach that you did not cause deliberately, we will refund the unused portion of the current billing period.
6. Your content
Images you upload for decoding, and the data you enter to generate a code, remain yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the Service for you — to process an upload so it can be decoded, to render a code you asked for, and, where you use dynamic codes, to store the destination so it can be served to people who scan it. Our Privacy Policy describes what is processed, where, and for how long.
You are responsible for having the right to use any logo, image, or data you supply.
7. Subscriptions, billing and renewals
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. It is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to payment and handles returns and billing. Your purchase is subject to Paddle's buyer terms in addition to these Terms.
Pro subscriptions are sold on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, unless canceled before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method until you cancel.
Prices are stated on the Pricing page. Sales tax, VAT, or equivalent is calculated at checkout according to your country and shown before you confirm. If a payment fails, Paddle and we may retry it; if it cannot be collected, Pro features may be suspended until payment succeeds.
We may change subscription prices. Any change applies from your next renewal, and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it takes effect. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before the renewal date.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep Pro features until the end of the period you have already paid for; canceling part-way through a period does not by itself produce a refund. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
9. Right to cancel a digital purchase
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Pro features are made available immediately, you are asked at checkout to consent to immediate supply and to acknowledge that you lose the statutory right of withdrawal once supply begins.
10. Free plan and advertising
The free plan is supported by advertising served by third parties. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and their presence is not an endorsement. Free features are provided as they stand and may change or be limited at any time.
11. Codes you scan lead to places we do not control
QRScanner decodes a code and shows you what it contains. It does not open a destination automatically. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for any website, network, file, or payment request reached through a code you scan. Check any link before you follow it, and treat codes from unknown sources with caution.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and branding, belongs to Softrix Technologies or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service. Codes you generate are yours to use, including commercially.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Service except to the extent the law permits.
13. Availability
We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access for maintenance, security or technical reasons, and will give notice where it is practical to do so. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"; to the extent the law permits, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
14. Indemnity
If you use the Service in business, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you supply through it.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; in the last case, we will give reasonable notice and refund the unused portion of any paid period. Clauses 12, 14, 15 and 18 survive termination.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date above shows when. For changes that materially affect a paid subscription, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email, and the change takes effect at your next renewal. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
18. General
If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganization or sale of the business. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
